Public Entertainments and Meetings Act

Public Entertainments (Composition of Offences by Arts Entertainment Licensing Officer) Rules 2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23(1) of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act, the Minister for Communications and Information hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Public Entertainments (Composition of Offences by Arts Entertainment Licensing Officer) Rules 2014 and shall come into operation on 1 January 2015.

Compoundable offences
2.  The following offences may be compounded by the Arts Entertainment Licensing Officer in accordance with section 31(1) of the Act:
(a)an offence under section 25(7)(a) or (b) of the Act in respect of a power exercised by the Arts Entertainment Licensing Officer under section 25(1) of the Act;

(b)an offence under section 28(1)(a), (b) or (c) of the Act in respect of a licence issued or renewed by the Arts Entertainment Licensing Officer under the Act;

(c)an offence under section 28(1)(d), read with section 12 or 16(2) or (6), of the Act in respect of a licence issued or renewed by the Arts Entertainment Licensing Officer under the Act;

(d)an offence under section 28(1)(d) of the Act read with rule 4 of the Public Entertainments (Arts Entertainment) Rules 2022 (G.N. No. S 359/2022);

(e)an offence under section 28(3) of the Act in respect of any statement made, or any information or document furnished, under the Act to the Arts Entertainment Licensing Officer or the Minister charged with the responsibility for licensing of arts entertainments.
