Private Education (Composition of Offences)
Regulations 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71(1) of the Private Education Act, the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency, with the approval of Mr Ong Ye Kung, Senior Minister of State, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills), makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Private Education (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2016 and come into operation on 3 October 2016.
Compoundable offences
2.  The following offences may be compounded, in accordance with section 67(1) of the Act, by the Chief Executive or any officer authorised by the Chief Executive:
(a)any offence under section 41(3) of the Act in connection with any failure to comply with any of the duties prescribed under section 41(1)(c) or (2) of the Act;
(b)any offence under section 44(3) of the Act;
(c)any offence under section 62(4) of the Act.
Revocation
3.  The Private Education (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 622/2009) are revoked.
