Public Order (Composition of
Offences) Regulations 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 47 of the Public Order Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Public Order (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2016 and come into operation on 30 May 2016.
Compoundable offences
2.  The following offences may be compounded by the Commissioner or any police officer authorised in writing by the Commissioner in accordance with section 41 of the Act:
(a)an offence under section 15(1) or (2) or 16(1) or (2) of the Act;
(b)an offence under regulation 9(4), (6) or (7) or 10(3) of the Public Order (Election Meetings in Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2009 or the Public Order (Election Meetings and Processions in Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 486/2009);

(c)an offence under paragraph 3(3), 4(3) or 5(2) of the Public Order (Unrestricted Area) Order 2016 (G.N. No. S 208/2016);

(d)an offence under regulation 9(4), (6) or (7) or 10(3) of the Public Order (Election Meetings in Presidential Elections) Regulations 2017 or the Public Order (Election Meetings and Processions in Presidential Elections) Regulations 2017 (G.N. No. S 273/2017).

Revocation
3.  The Public Order (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2011 (G.N. No. S 136/2011) are revoked.
