Presidential Elections
(Excluded Election Advertising)
Regulations 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 60A(2)(f) and 81 of the Presidential Elections Act, the Prime Minister hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Presidential Elections (Excluded Election Advertising) Regulations 2011 and shall come into operation on 2nd August 2011.
Candidate broadcasts on eve of polling day
2.  Section 60A(1) of the Act shall not apply to the publication or display, or causing or permitting to be published or displayed, of a broadcast of a speech by a candidate advocating, offering or inviting support for the candidate, being a broadcast made —
(a)at any time on the eve of polling day at an election; and
(b)on any radio or television broadcasting service provided by a broadcaster licensed to provide such a service under the Broadcasting Act (Cap. 28).
