Road Traffic Act
(Chapter 276)
Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) (Exemption) Order 1998
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Communications hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) (Exemption) Order 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1998.
Exemption
2.  Part IA of the Act and any rules made thereunder shall not apply to the following vehicles:
(a)ambulances (including ambulances owned by the Ministry of Defence);
(b)fire engines;
(c)police vehicles;
(d)motor cycles used by the Civil Defence Force for providing emergency ambulance service; and
(e)any vehicle being towed by another vehicle.
