(2012 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix)
(Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2012
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (2012 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix) (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2012.
Definition
2.  In this Order, “designated roads” means —
(a)the racing circuit designated and approved for use by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, the Singapore Tourism Board and the Land Transport Authority of Singapore for the purpose of —
(i)the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Formula One World Championship 2012;
(ii)the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Asia Pacific 2012;
(iii)the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2012; and
(iv)the GP2 Series 2012; and
(b)the roads that fall within the area surrounded by the racing circuit,
which are more particularly shown in the Schedule.
Exemption
3.—(1)  Sections 35, 62, 63, 64, 65, 65B, 66, 67, 68, 84 and 120 of the Act and rules 4 and 5 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Wearing of Seat Belts) Rules 2011 (G.N. No. S 688/2011) shall not apply to any motor vehicle —
(a)which is used within the designated roads for the purpose of —
(i)the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Formula One World Championship 2012;
(ii)the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Asia Pacific 2012;
(iii)the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2012; or
(iv)the GP2 Series 2012; and
(b)in relation to which there is in force a policy of insurance insuring the owner of the motor vehicle or such other person (as may be specified in the policy) who drives the motor vehicle jointly and each of them severally against any liability which may be incurred by the owner or that other person jointly or by either of them severally, in respect of the death of or bodily injury to any person caused by or arising out of the use of the motor vehicle in Singapore.
(2)  The exemption referred to in sub-paragraph (1) shall be valid from 21st September 2012 to 23rd September 2012 (both dates inclusive).
