Trade Marks (Excluded Day) Rules 1998
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Trade Marks Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Trade Marks (Excluded Day) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 26th January 1998.
Excluded day
2.  In addition to the excluded days set out in rule 112(2) of the Trade Marks Rules (R 1), 31st January 1998 shall be an excluded day for all purposes under the Act and the Trade Marks Rules except for —
(a)any inspection of the register under section 7 of the Act; and
(b)the making of any application for registration of a trade mark, not being an application in which a claim for priority under section 75 of the Act is made.
Hours of business
3.  Notwithstanding rule 112(1) of the Trade Marks Rules, the Registry shall be open to the public on 31st January 1998 for the purposes set out in rule 2(a) and (b) between 8.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.
