| Citation |
| 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Singapore Polytechnic (Students) (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations. |
| Definitions |
2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —

| Student Disciplinary Committee |
| Disciplinary rules |
| 4. The Principal may, from time to time, issue disciplinary rules for the maintenance and enforcement of discipline among the students. |
| Investigation |
5.—(1) If it is reported to the Principal that a student has committed a disciplinary offence, the Principal may appoint a member of the staff of the Polytechnic to investigate into the allegation and to submit a report to him.

| Inquiry |
6.—(1) Before the Student Disciplinary Committee begins an inquiry into an alleged disciplinary offence, it shall send the student concerned a notice of the charge with such particulars as may be necessary to disclose the nature of the offence.

| Payment of fines |
7.—(1) Unless the Principal otherwise directs, any fine imposed under regulation 5(2)(b)(ii) or 6(5)(d) shall be paid to the Bursar of the Polytechnic within 7 days after it is imposed.

| Appeal to Principal |
8.—(1) A student who has been suspended from the Polytechnic under regulation 6(5)(b) may appeal to the Principal in writing within 14 days stating any ground of appeal.

| Appeal to Board |
9.—(1) A student who has been expelled from the Polytechnic under regulation 6(6) may appeal to the Board in writing within 14 days stating any ground of appeal.
