all the property, rights and liabilities comprised in the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Aljunied to which that Town Council was entitled or subject immediately before that date and which related to or were connected with any area of the Town which, by virtue of this Order, becomes comprised in the constituency of Marine Parade or East Coast shall become, by virtue of this Order and without further assurance, the property, rights and liabilities of the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade and East Coast, respectively;
(b)
all deeds, agreements, instruments and working arrangements subsisting immediately before that date affecting the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Aljunied transferred to the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade or East Coast under this Order shall continue in force on and after that date and shall be enforceable by or against the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade or East Coast, as the case may be, as if, instead of the Town Council for the Town of Aljunied, the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade or East Coast, as the case may be, had been named therein or had been a party thereof; and
(c)
any proceedings or cause of action relating to the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Aljunied transferred to the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade or East Coast under this Order pending or existing immediately before that date by or against the Town Council for the Town of Aljunied may be continued and shall be enforced by or against the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade or East Coast, as the case may be.
2. If any question arises as to whether any particular property, right or liability has been transferred to or vested in the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade or East Coast, a certificate under the hand of the Minister shall be conclusive evidence that the property, right or liability was or was not so transferred or vested.
Part II
Ang Mo Kio Town Council
1. As from 1st February 2002 —
(a)
all the property, rights and liabilities comprised in the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Ang Mo Kio Yishun to which that Town Council was entitled or subject immediately before that date and which related to or were connected with any area of the Town of Ang Mo Kio Yishun which, by virtue of this Order, becomes comprised in the constituency of Marine Parade shall become, by virtue of this Order and without further assurance, the property, rights and liabilities of the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade;
(b)
all deeds, agreements, instruments and working arrangements subsisting immediately before that date affecting the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Ang Mo Kio Yishun transferred to the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade under this Order shall continue in force on and after that date and shall be enforceable by or against the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade as if, instead of the Town Council for the Town of Ang Mo Kio Yishun, the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade had been named therein or had been a party thereof; and
(c)
any proceedings or cause of action relating to the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Ang Mo Kio Yishun transferred to the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade under this Order pending or existing immediately before that date by or against the Town Council for the Town of Ang Mo Kio Yishun may be continued and shall be enforced by or against the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade.
2. If any question arises as to whether any particular property, right or liability has been transferred to or vested in the Town Council for the Town of Marine Parade, a certificate under the hand of the Minister shall be conclusive evidence that the property, right or liability was or was not so transferred or vested.
3. As from 13th November 2001, the Town Council for the Town of Ang Mo Kio Yishun shall be known as the Town Council for the Town of Ang Mo Kio and such change of corporate name shall not affect the identity of either Town Council or any rights or obligations of either Town Council or render defective any legal proceedings by or against either Town Council, and any legal proceedings that might have been continued or commenced by or against either Town Council by its former corporate name may be continued or commenced by or against either Town Council by its new corporate name.
Part III
Hong Kah Town Council
1. As from 1st February 2002 —
(a)
all the property, rights and liabilities comprised in the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Hong Kah to which that Town Council was entitled or subject immediately before that date and which related to or were connected with any area of the Town of Hong Kah which, by virtue of this Order, becomes comprised in the constituency of Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jurong or West Coast, as the case may be, shall become, by virtue of this Order and without further assurance, the property, rights and liabilities of the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jurong or West Coast-Ayer Rajah, respectively;
(b)
all deeds, agreements, instruments and working arrangements subsisting immediately before that date affecting the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Hong Kah transferred to the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jurong or West Coast-Ayer Rajah under this Order shall continue in force on and after that date and shall be enforceable by or against the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jurong or West Coast-Ayer Rajah, as the case may be, as if, instead of the Town Council for the Town of Hong Kah, the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jurong or West Coast-Ayer Rajah, as the case may be, had been named therein or had been a party thereof; and
(c)
any proceedings or cause of action relating to the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Hong Kah transferred to the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jurong or West Coast-Ayer Rajah under this Order pending or existing immediately before that date by or against the Town Council for the Town of Hong Kah may be continued and shall be enforced by or against the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jurong or West Coast-Ayer Rajah, as the case may be.
2. If any question arises as to whether any particular property, right or liability has been transferred to or vested in the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang, Jurong or West Coast-Ayer Rajah, a certificate under the hand of the Minister shall be conclusive evidence that the property, right or liability was or was not so transferred or vested.
Part IV
Sembawang Town Council
1. As from 1st February 2002 —
(a)
all the property, rights and liabilities comprised in the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Sembawang to which that Town Council was entitled or subject immediately before that date and which related to or were connected with any area of the Town of Sembawang which, by virtue of this Order, becomes comprised in the constituency of Holland-Bukit Panjang, shall become, by virtue of this Order and without further assurance, the property, rights and liabilities of the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang;
(b)
all deeds, agreements, instruments and working arrangements subsisting immediately before that date affecting the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Sembawang transferred to the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang under this Order shall continue in force on and after that date and shall be enforceable by or against the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang as if, instead of the Town Council for the Town of Sembawang, the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang had been named therein or had been a party thereof; and
(c)
any proceedings or cause of action relating to the undertaking of the Town Council for the Town of Sembawang transferred to the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang under this Order pending or existing immediately before that date by or against the Town Council for the Town of Sembawang may be continued and shall be enforced by or against the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang.
2. If any question arises as to whether any particular property, right or liability has been transferred to or vested in the Town Council for the Town of Holland-Bukit Panjang, a certificate under the hand of the Minister shall be conclusive evidence that the property, right or liability was or was not so transferred or vested.
