30.—(1) The notice of opposition shall contain a statement of the grounds upon which the opponent opposes the registration.
(2) If registration is opposed on the ground that the mark is identical or similar to an earlier trade mark, the following information must be included in the statement, for the purpose of determining whether the mark is identical or similar to the earlier trade mark:
(a)
a representation of the earlier trade mark; and
(b)
such of the following as may be applicable:
(i)
if the earlier trade mark is registered —
(A)
its registration number; and
(B)
the class number and specification of the goods or services in respect of which the earlier trade mark is registered;
(ii)
if the application to register the earlier trade mark is pending —
(A)
the number accorded by the Registrar to the application; and
(B)
the class number and specification of the goods or services in respect of which the earlier trade mark is sought to be registered; or
(iii)
if the earlier trade mark is not registered, and no application has been made to register it, the specification of the goods or services in respect of which the earlier trade mark is used.

(3) If registration is opposed on the ground that the mark is identical or similar to an earlier trade mark which is well known in Singapore, the following additional information must be included in the statement for the purpose of determining whether the trade mark is well known in Singapore:
(a)
information on the use of the earlier trade mark; and
(b)
information on any promotion undertaken for the earlier trade mark.
