Misuse of Drugs Act
(Chapter 185)
Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Regulations 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 9th June 1999.
Amendment of Second Schedule
2.  Paragraph 6 of the Second Schedule to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations (Rg 1) is amended —
(a)by deleting the following words:
Dexamphetamine
Levamphetamine
Levomethamphetamine”; and
(b)by deleting the word “Methylamphetamine” and substituting the words “Methamphetamine (also known as Methylamphetamine)”.
Amendment of Fourth Schedule
3.  Paragraph 1 of the Fourth Schedule to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting the word “Brolamfetamine” and substituting the following words:
4-Bromo-2,5-dimethoxy-α-methylphenethylamine (also known as Brolamfetamine)
4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine”;
(b)by deleting the word “2,5-dimethoxy-αmethyphenethylamine” immediately below the words “Concentrate of poppy-straw” and substituting the word “2,5-Dimethoxy-α-methylphenethylamine”;
(c)by deleting the word “4-ethyl-2,5-dimethoxy-α-phenethylamine” immediately below the word “3-(1,2-dimethylheptyl)-1-hydroxy-7,8,9,10-tetrahydro-6,6,9-trimethyl-6H-dibenzo[b,d] pyran” and substituting the word “4-Ethyl-2,5-dimethoxy-α- methylphenethylamine”;
(d)by deleting the word “2-methoxy-α-methyl-4,5-(methylenedioxy)-phenethylamine” immediately below the word “Methcathinone” and substituting the word “3-Methoxy-α-methyl-4,5-(methylenedioxy) phenethylamine”;
(e)by inserting, immediately below the word “p-methoxy-α-methylphenethylamine”, the word “N-Methyl-α-ethyl-3,4-(methylenedioxy) phenethylamine”;
(f)by deleting the word “N-[α-methyl-3,4-(methylenedioxy)phenethyl]-hydroxylamine” immediately below the word “4-methylaminorex” and substituting the word “N-[α-methyl-3,4-(methylenedioxy)phenethyl]hydroxylamine”;
(g)by deleting the word “Tenamfetamine” immediately below the word “Rolicyclidine” and substituting the words “α-Methyl-3,4-(methylenedioxy) phenethylamine (also known as Tenamfetamine)”; and
(h)by deleting the word “2,5-Dimethoxy-α,4-dimethylphenethylamine” immediately below the word “N,N-Dimethyltryptamine” and substituting the word “2,5-Dimethoxy-4,α-dimethylphenethylamine”.
