(SAFRA National Service Association —
Exemption) Notification 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification is the Common Gaming Houses (SAFRA National Service Association — Exemption) Notification 2021.

Definitions

2. In this Notification, unless the context otherwise requires —

“draw” means the draw in which a person may participate by carrying out a qualifying transaction and to be held as part of the promotion at SAFRA Mount Faber, 2 Telok Blangah Way, Singapore 098803 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on 18 January 2022;

“organiser” means the SAFRA National Service Association, a society registered under the Societies Act (Cap. 311);

“promotion” means the promotion called “SAFRA Membership Bonus Draw” that is to be made available from 1 October 2021 to 31 December 2021 (both dates inclusive);

“public accountant” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Accountants Act (Cap. 2);

“qualifying transaction” means any application for membership or renewal of membership with the organiser from 1 October 2021 to 31 December 2021 (both dates inclusive).

Exemption

3.—(1) The organiser is exempt from the provisions of the Act in respect of the promotion and the draw.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organiser with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
