Customs (Duties) (Amendment) Order 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(1) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs (Duties) (Amendment) Order 2008 and shall come into operation on 15th February 2008 at 3.30 p.m.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Customs (Duties) Order (O 4) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “$9.50 per litre” in column (7) against H.S. Codes 2204.10.00, 2204.21.11, 2204.21.12, 2204.29.11, 2204.29.12, 2205.10.10, 2205.10.20, 2205.90.10 and 2205.90.20 and substituting in each case the words “$70.00 per litre of alcohol”;
(b)	by deleting the words “$3.30 per litre” in column (7) against H.S. Code 2206.00.10 and substituting the words “$48.00 per litre of alcohol”;
(c)	by deleting the words “$0.80 per litre” in column (7) against H.S. Code 2206.00.40 and substituting the words “$70.00 per litre of alcohol”; and
(d)	by deleting the words “$30.00 per litre” in column (7) against H.S. Codes 2208.20.10, 2208.20.30, 2208.30.10, 2208.40.10, 2208.50.10, 2208.60.10, 2208.70.10 and 2208.90.70 and substituting in each case the words “$70.00 per litre of alcohol”. [G.N. Nos.
