(Amendment) Regulations 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Air Navigation Act 1966, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Air Navigation (121 — Commercial Air Transport by Large Aeroplanes) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 17 June 2024.

Amendment of regulation 36

2. In the Air Navigation (121 — Commercial Air Transport by Large Aeroplanes) Regulations 2018 (G.N. No. S 444/2018) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 36(a), replace “paragraph 67 of the Air Navigation Order” with “the Air Navigation (139 — Aerodromes) Regulations 2023 (G.N. No. S 10/2023)”.

Amendment of regulation 129

3. In the principal Regulations, in regulation 129 —

(a)	in paragraphs (a) and (aa), after “assess”, insert “continuing”; and
(b)	in paragraph (aa), after “from the”, insert “individual or”.

Amendment of regulation 144

4. In the principal Regulations, in regulation 144(2)(b), replace “approved by the Director‑General of Civil Aviation to supervise such use” with “appointed as a training instructor in accordance with the process specified in regulation 146”.

Amendment of regulation 146

5. In the principal Regulations, in regulation 146 —

(a)

replace paragraph (1) with —

“(1) An AOC holder must have a process that is approved by the Director‑General of Civil Aviation, for appointing training instructors.”;

(b)

in paragraph (2)(b), delete “and” at the end;

(c)

in paragraph (2)(c), replace the full‑stop at the end with “; and”; and

(d)

in paragraph (2), after sub‑paragraph (c), insert —

“(d)	the type of simulation equipment or apparatus that an appointed training instructor is trained to use and to supervise the use of.”.
