(Casino Licence and Fees)
(Amendment) Regulations 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 200 of the Casino Control Act 2006, the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Home Affairs, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations are the Casino Control (Casino Licence and Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and, except for regulation 2, come into operation on 18 November 2024.

(2) Regulation 2 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. In the Casino Control (Casino Licence and Fees) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 429/2009) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 3 —

(a)	replace “section 45(2)(i)” with “section 45(2)(j)”; and
(b)	replace “(ha)” with “(i)”.

Amendment of regulation 6

3. In the principal Regulations, in regulation 6 —

(a)

in paragraph (3), in the definition of “A”, replace paragraphs (a) and (b) with —

“(a)	$4.8 million if the first casino operator’s casino licence is granted or renewed on or after 1 December 2018 but before 18 November 2024; or
(b)	$6.7 million if the first casino operator’s casino licence is granted or renewed on or after 18 November 2024; and”; and

(b)

in paragraph (4), in the definition of “A”, replace paragraphs (a) and (b) with —

“(a)	$4.8 million if the remaining casino operator’s casino licence is granted or renewed on or after 1 December 2018 but before 18 November 2024; or
(b)	$6.7 million if the remaining casino operator’s casino licence is granted or renewed on or after 18 November 2024; and”.

Amendment of Schedule

4. In the principal Regulations, in the Schedule —

(a)

replace item 2 with —

“2.	Casino licence fee for a casino licence granted or renewed on or after 18 November 2024 —

(a)	to operate the only casino in operation

$40.3 million per annum

(b)	to operate one of 2 casinos in operation

$33.6 million per annum”; and

(b)

in item 2A, after “1 December 2018”, insert “but before 18 November 2024”.
