An Act to amend the Bus Services Licensing Authority Act, 1971 (No. 5 of 1971). |
Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows: — |
Short title and commencement |
1. This Act may be cited as the Bus Services Licensing Authority (Amendment) Act, 1978, and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint. |
Amendment of section 3 |
2. Section 3 of the Bus Services Licensing Authority Act, 1971 (hereinafter in this Act referred to as “the principal Act”) is hereby amended by deleting the word “six” in the third line of subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor the word “seven”. |
Amendment of section 6 |
3. Section 6 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after the word “service” at the end of paragraph (a) thereof the expression “and, if the applicant is a company, the fact that its articles of association contain provisions to ensure that its board of directors shall at all times consist only of persons approved by the Authority”. |
Repeal and re-enactment of section 11 |
