(COVID-19 Safe Workplace)
(Amendment No. 5) Regulations 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 65(1) of the Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Workplace Safety and Health (COVID‑19 Safe Workplace) (Amendment No. 5) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 29 August 2022.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  In regulation 2 of the Workplace Safety and Health (COVID‑19 Safe Workplace) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 992/2021) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), after paragraph (4), insert —
(5)  To avoid doubt, nothing in regulations 17A and 18 derogates from the effect of any other written law requiring the wearing of a face covering for the purpose of ensuring food hygiene.”.
Amendment of regulation 3
3.  In regulation 3(1) of the principal Regulations, after the definition of “COVID‑19”, insert —
“ “mask-on zone” has the meaning given by regulation 2 of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022;”.
Amendment of regulation 17A
4.  In regulation 17A(1) of the principal Regulations, after “workplace that is”, insert “a mask‑on zone and is”.
Amendment of regulation 18
5.  In regulation 18(1) and (2) of the principal Regulations, after “work premises that is”, insert “a mask‑on zone and is”.
