(Amendment) Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) of the United Nations Act 2001, the Minister for Law makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the United Nations (Sanctions — Somalia) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 26 July 2024.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  In the United Nations (Sanctions — Somalia) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 744/2021) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 2 —
(a)delete “733 (1992),”;
(b)delete “1425 (2002),”;
(c)delete “2093 (2013),”; and
(d)replace “and 2662 (2022)” with “, 2664 (2022) and 2173 (2023)”.
Amendment of regulation 7
3.  In the principal Regulations, in regulation 7 —
(a)in paragraph (a), delete “or” at the end;
(b)in paragraph (b), replace the full‑stop at the end with “; or”; and
(c)after paragraph (b), insert —
(c)the acquisition or delivery of any weapon, ammunition or military equipment.”.
Amendment of regulation 16
4.  In the principal Regulations, in regulation 16 —
(a)in paragraph (1), after “Resolution 1844 (2008)”, insert “or paragraph 1 of Resolution 2664 (2022)”; and
(b)in paragraph (2), replace “paragraph 9 or 19 of Resolution 2551 (2020) or paragraph 10, 11, 14, 15, 18 or 21 of Resolution 2662 (2022)” with “paragraph 4, 34 or 35 of Resolution 2173 (2023)”.
