(Garbage) (Amendment)
Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea Act 1990, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea (Garbage) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 1 May 2024.
Amendment of regulation 6
2.  In the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea (Garbage) Regulations 2012 (G.N. No. S 663/2012), in regulation 6(2)(c)(i), replace “400 gross tonnage” with “100 gross tonnage”.
Amendment of First Schedule
3.  In the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea (Garbage) Regulations 2012, in the First Schedule, in Chapter 1, in Regulation 10, in paragraphs 3 and 3.6, replace “400 gross tonnage” with “100 gross tonnage”.
