Electric Vehicles Charging
(Licensing) (Amendment)
Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 94 of the Electric Vehicles Charging Act 2022, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Electric Vehicles Charging (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 8 June 2024.
New regulation 4A
2.  In the Electric Vehicles Charging (Licensing) Regulations 2023 (G.N. No. S 787/2023), after regulation 4, insert —
Mandatory or proscribed terms of insurance
4A.—(1)  For the purpose of section 45(2)(f) of the Act, the prescribed minimum amount of insurance is $2 million per claim.
(2)  “Approved policies” as defined in section 45(3) of the Act means policies of insurance each of which does not contain any limit on the number of claims that may be made in each calendar year.”.
Amendment of regulation 6
3.  In the Electric Vehicles Charging (Licensing) Regulations 2023, in regulation 6 —
(a)in paragraph (3)(a)(i), replace “third day” with “fifth working day”;
(b)in paragraph (3)(a)(iii), replace “email to the email address” with “the document submission platform accessible from an Internet website address”;
(c)in paragraph (4), in the definition of “static records or data”, replace the full‑stop at the end with a semi-colon; and
(d)in paragraph (4), after the definition of “static records or data”, insert —
“ “working day” means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.”.
