Legal Profession (Admission)
(Amendment No. 2) Rules 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(1) and (2) of the Legal Profession Act 1966, the Board of Directors of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education, after consulting the Minister for Law and the Council of the Law Society of Singapore, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Legal Profession (Admission) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2024 and come into operation on 20 May 2024.

Amendment of rule 24

2. In the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2011 (G.N. No. S 244/2011), in rule 24(3), replace “$216 (inclusive of the goods and services tax chargeable under the Goods and Services Tax Act 1993)” with “$218”.
