Connection with Elections) (Exemption)
(Amendment) Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Road Traffic (Carriage of Persons in Goods Vehicles in Connection with Elections) (Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 14 June 2024.
Amendment of paragraph 3
2.  In the Road Traffic (Carriage of Persons in Goods Vehicles in Connection with Elections) (Exemption) Order 2011 (G.N. No. S 138/2011), in paragraph 3 —
(a)in sub‑paragraphs (2)(b)(i) and (3)(b)(i), replace “section 49(8D)(a)” with “section 49(7)(a) or (7E)(a)”; and
(b)in sub‑paragraphs (2)(b)(ii) and (3)(b)(ii), replace “section 49A(5)” with “section 56E(1)(b)”.
