Constitution of the Republic of Singapore
Singapore Citizenship (Amendment) Rules 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 140 and section 4 of the Third Schedule to the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Singapore Citizenship (Amendment) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2000.
Amendment of Second and Third Schedules
2.  The Second and Third Schedules to the Singapore Citizenship Rules (R 1, 1999 Ed.) are amended by deleting “19” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “20”.
