Women’s Charter
(Matrimonial Proceedings)
(Amendment) Rules 2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 139(1) and (2) of the Women’s Charter, we, the committee constituted under section 139(1) of the Women’s Charter, hereby make the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings) (Amendment) Rules 2014 and shall come into operation on 21st March 2014.
Amendment of rule 41
2.  Rule 41(5) of the Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings) Rules (R 4) is amended by deleting the words “Subordinate Courts” in sub‑paragraph (a)(i) and substituting the words “State Courts”.
Amendment of First Schedule
3.  The First Schedule to the Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings) Rules is amended by deleting the words “SUBORDINATE COURTS” in the following Forms and substituting in each case the words “STATE COURTS”:
Forms 4, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32.
