Immigration
(Exemption from Singapore Visa)
(Amendment) Order 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56 of the Immigration Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) (Amendment) Order 2016 and comes into operation on 1 March 2016.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  Paragraph 2 of the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) Order (O 4) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (ge) of sub‑paragraph (1), the following sub-paragraph:
(gf)a non-citizen —
(i)who —
(A)is a person appointed to work in a diplomatic mission or consular office of the government of the foreign territory specified in Part X of the Schedule; and
(B)holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of that foreign territory;
(ii)who —
(A)is a person accredited to an international organisation in Singapore; and
(B)holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the foreign territory specified in Part X of the Schedule; or
(iii)who —
(A)is a spouse, or an unmarried child below the age of 21 years, of an appointed person referred to in sub‑paragraph (i) or of an accredited person referred to in sub‑paragraph (ii), as the case may be;
(B)is living in the same household as the appointed person or the accredited person, as the case may be; and
(C)holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the foreign territory specified in Part X of the Schedule;”; and
(b)by deleting the words “and (ge)(iii)” in sub‑paragraph (2) and substituting the words “, (ge)(iii) and (gf)(ii)”.
Amendment of Schedule
3.  The Schedule to the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) Order is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “and (ge)” in the Schedule reference and substituting the words “, (ge) and (gf)”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after Part IX, the following Part:
Part X
1.  Republic of Cuba.”.
