Central Provident Fund
(Non-Residential Properties Scheme)
(Amendment) Regulations 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act 1953, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Non‑Residential Properties Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and, except for regulation 4, come into operation on 1 April 2024.

(2) Regulation 4 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of regulation 21

2. In the Central Provident Fund (Non‑Residential Properties Scheme) Regulations (Rg 10) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 21(4)(ii), replace “or (c) of the Act” with “of the Act or a former provision”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. In the principal Regulations, in the Schedule, after item 2, insert —

“

2A.	Regulation 21(4)(ii)

Section 15(2)(b) or (c) of the Act as in force before 1 April 2024

”.

Miscellaneous amendments

4. In the principal Regulations —

(a)

in regulation 2(1), in the definition of “temporary building”, replace “(Cap. 29)” with “1989”;

(b)

in the following provisions, replace “section 27C(1)(iii), 27DA(1)(iii), 27DB(2)(c) or 27E(1)(ii)” with “section 27C(1)(g), 27DA(1)(g), 27DB(2)(c) or 27E(1)(f)”:

(e)

in the following provisions, replace “section 27E(1)(i) of the Act” with “section 27E(1)(e) of the Act”:

(f)

(g)

in the following provisions, delete “Cap. 157,”:
