(Amendment) Rules 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Singapore Academy of Law Act 1988, the Senate of the Singapore Academy of Law makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Singapore Academy of Law (Amendment) Rules 2022 and come into operation on 14 January 2022.

Amendment of rule 3

2. Rule 3(2) of the Singapore Academy of Law Rules (R 1) (called in these Rules the principal Rules) is amended by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (a), the following sub‑paragraph:

“(aa)

a Judicial Service Officer;”.

Amendment of rule 4

3. Rule 4(3) of the principal Rules is amended by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (a), the following sub‑paragraph:

“(aa)

a Judicial Service Officer;”.

Amendment of Part III of Fourth Schedule

4. Item 2 of Part III of the Fourth Schedule to the principal Rules is amended —

(a)	by inserting, immediately before the words “or Legal Service Officers”, the words “, Judicial Service Officers”; and
(b)	by inserting, immediately before the words “a Legal Service Officer” in paragraphs (a), (b) and (c), the words “a Judicial Service Officer or”.
