(Amendment No. 3) Rules 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 36M(2)(t) and 184(2)(q) of the Legal Profession Act 1966, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Legal Profession (Modified Application of Act for International Services) (Amendment No. 3) Rules 2022 and come into operation on 1 December 2022.

Amendment of Fifth Schedule

2. In the Fifth Schedule to the Legal Profession (Modified Application of Act for International Services) Rules 2015 (G.N. No. S 700/2015) —

(a)

in rule 2(1), after the definition of “land”, insert —

“ “PD Officer” has the meaning given by section 82(3) of the Act;”; and

(b)

in rule 8(7)(a)(ii), replace “or a Legal Service Officer” with “, a Legal Service Officer or a PD Officer”.
