An Act to repeal section 377A of the Penal Code 1871 and to make consequential amendments to that Code and certain other Acts.
Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows:
Short title
1.  This Act is the Penal Code (Amendment) Act 2022.
Repeal of section 377A
2.  Section 377A of the Penal Code 1871 is repealed.
Consequential amendments
3.  The provisions of the Acts specified in the first column of the Schedule are amended in the manner set out in the second column of the Schedule.
Saving provision
4.  Despite the provisions of this Act, section 425A of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 continues to apply in relation to an offence under section 377A of the Penal Code 1871 committed before the date of commencement of this Act.
