(Amendment) Regulations 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act 1953, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Division of Fund‑Related Assets in Matrimonial Proceedings) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and, except for regulation 3, come into operation on 1 April 2024.

(2) Regulation 3 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. In the Central Provident Fund (Division of Fund‑Related Assets in Matrimonial Proceedings) Regulations (Rg 35), in regulation 3(1)(c) and (d), replace “section 15(2)(a), (b) or (c)” with “section 15(2)”.

Miscellaneous amendments

3. In the Central Provident Fund (Division of Fund‑Related Assets in Matrimonial Proceedings) Regulations —

(a)	in regulation 2, in the definition of “permitted person”, in paragraph (b), replace “27H(iii)(C)” with “27H(e)(iii)”;
(b)	in regulation 2, in the definition of “relevant document”, in paragraph (c), replace “27H(iii)(C)” with “27H(e)(iii)”;
(c)	in regulation 2, in the definition of “specified charge or undertaking”, replace “27C(1)(v), 27D(1)(v), 27DA(1)(v), 27DB(2)(e), 27E(1)(iv) or 27F(1)(iv)” with “27C(1)(i), 27D(1)(j), 27DA(1)(i), 27DB(2)(e), 27E(1)(h) or 27F(1)(h)”;
(d)	in regulation 3(2), replace “section 27C(1)(iii), 27D(1)(iii), 27DA(1)(iii)” with “section 27C(1)(g), 27D(1)(h), 27DA(1)(g)”; and
(e)	in regulation 3(3), replace “section 27E(1)(ii) or 27F(1)(ii)” with “section 27E(1)(f) or 27F(1)(f)”.
