Sewerage and Drainage
(Trade Effluent) (Amendment)
Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the Sewerage and Drainage Act 1999, the Public Utilities Board, with the approval of the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Sewerage and Drainage (Trade Effluent) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 1 April 2024.
Amendment of regulation 11
2.  In the Sewerage and Drainage (Trade Effluent) Regulations (Rg 5), in regulation 11, replace paragraph (6) with —
“(6)  Subject to paragraph (7), the fee mentioned in paragraph (5) must be calculated as follows:
(a)for a bill issued on or after 1 January 2024 but before 1 April 2024 — in accordance with the scale set out in the Fourth Schedule as in force immediately before 1 April 2024;
(b)for a bill issued on or after 1 April 2024 but before 1 April 2025 — in accordance with the scale set out in the Fourth Schedule;
(c)for a bill issued on or after 1 April 2025 — in accordance with the scale set out in the Fifth Schedule.”.
Replacement of Fourth Schedule and new Fifth Schedule
3.  In the Sewerage and Drainage (Trade Effluent) Regulations, replace the Fourth Schedule with —
