Endangered Species (Import and Export) (Fees)
(Amendment) Rules 1998
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Endangered Species (Import and Export) (Fees) (Amendment) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1998.
Deletion and substitution of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) (Fees) Rules 1997 (G.N. No. S150/97) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

(1)Permit to import, export, re-export or introduce from the sea of any scheduled animal or plant
 
$12 per scheduled species subject to a minimum of $60 per consignment.
(2)Permit to import, export or re-export elephant tusk, and any part of any such tusk, whether simply prepared or worked
 
$1 per kg or part thereof subject to a minimum of $60 per consignment.
(3)Permit to import, export or re-export any scheduled animal part other than elephant tusks
 
$12 per scheduled species subject to a minimum of $60 per consignment.
(4)Permit to export or re-export manufactured products as tourist items or personal effects
 
$10 per permit.
(5)Professional service fee
 
(a)$60 per hour or part thereof;
 
 
(b)$133 per hour or part thereof (outside office hours or on an urgent basis).
(6)Technical service fee
 
(a)$36 per hour or part thereof;
 
 
(b)$80 per hour or part thereof (outside office hours or on an urgent basis).
(7)Certification of species or their parts and derivatives
 
$27 per certificate.
(8)Certification of true copy of certificate
 
$8 per certificate.
