(Amendment) Rules 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Singapore Academy of Law Act 1988, the Senate of the Singapore Academy of Law makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Singapore Academy of Law (Amendment) Rules 2023 and come into operation on 16 January 2023.

Amendment of rule 3

2. In rule 3(2) of the Singapore Academy of Law Rules (R 1) (called in these Rules the principal Rules), after sub‑paragraph (b), insert —

“(ba)

a PD Officer;”.

Amendment of rule 4

3. In rule 4(3) of the principal Rules, after sub‑paragraph (b), insert —

“(ba)

a PD Officer;”.

Amendment of Fourth Schedule

4. In the Fourth Schedule to the principal Rules, in Part IV, in item 2 —

(a)	replace “or Legal Service Officers” with “, Legal Service Officers or PD Officers”; and
(b)	in paragraphs (a), (b) and (c), replace “or a Legal Service Officer” with “, a Legal Service Officer or a PD Officer”.
