Education Service Incentive Payment (Independent Schools) (Amendment) Notification 2010

In exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph (b) of the definition of “independent school” in section 2 of the Education Service Incentive Payment Act, the Minister for Education hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Notification may be cited as the Education Service Incentive Payment (Independent Schools) (Amendment) Notification 2010.

(2) Paragraph 2(a) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January 2002.

(3) Paragraph 2(b) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st August 2006.

(4) Paragraph 2(c) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 6th October 2004.

(5) Paragraph 2(d) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January 2007.

(6) Paragraph 2(e) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January 2009.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Education Service Incentive Payment (Independent Schools) Notification (N 1) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the words “Methodist Girls’ School” in sub-paragraph (d), the word “(Secondary)”;

(b)

by deleting sub-paragraph (g) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(g)	School of the Arts, Singapore;”;

(c)

by deleting sub-paragraph (i) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(i)	NUS High School of Mathematics and Science;”;

(d)

by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (i), the following sub-paragraph:

“(j)	Northlight School;”; and

(e)

by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (j), the following sub-paragraphs:

“(k)	Assumption Pathway School;
(l)	School of Science and Technology, Singapore.”.
