(Amendment) Rules 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 114A(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Expressways — Excluded Vehicles) (Amendment) Rules 2024 and come into operation on 1 March 2024.

Amendment of rule 2

2. In the Road Traffic (Expressways — Excluded Vehicles) Rules 2010 (G.N. No. S 647/2010), in rule 2(1), after the definition of “owner”, insert —

“ “recumbent device”, “three‑wheeled pedal cycle” and “trishaw” have the meanings given by rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Bicycles, Three‑wheeled Pedal Cycles, Trishaws and Recumbent Devices — Construction and Use) Rules 2024 (G.N. No. S 157/2024);”.

Amendment of First Schedule

3. In the Road Traffic (Expressways — Excluded Vehicles) Rules 2010, in the First Schedule, replace item 2 with —

“2.	Three‑wheeled pedal cycles.

2A.	Recumbent devices.”.
