Planning (Use Classes)
(Amendment) Rules 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61 of the Planning Act 1998, the Minister for National Development makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Rules are the Planning (Use Classes) (Amendment) Rules 2023 and, except for rule 3, come into operation on 26 June 2023.

(2) Rule 3 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of rule 2

2. In the Planning (Use Classes) Rules (R 2), in rule 2, replace the definition of “medical clinic” with —

“ “medical clinic” has the meaning given by paragraph 2 of the Planning (Development of Land Authorisation for Medical Clinics) Notification 2014 (G.N. No. S 836/2014);”.

Miscellaneous amendments

3. In the Planning (Use Classes) Rules —

(a)	in rule 2, in the definition of “child care centre”, in paragraph (a), delete “(Act 19 of 2017)”;
(b)	in rule 2, in the definition of “child care centre”, in paragraph (c), replace “(Cap. 87)” with “1957”;
(c)	in rule 2, in the definition of “massage establishment”, delete “(Act 45 of 2017)”;
(d)	in rule 2, in the definition of “Singapore Sports Council”, replace “(Cap. 305)” with “1973”; and
(e)	in rule 3(1), replace “Part III” with “Part 3”.
