Control Order) (Amendment No. 13)
Regulations 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Sporting Events and Activities — Control Order) (Amendment No. 13) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 1 January 2022.

Amendment of regulation 5

2. Regulation 5 of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Sporting Events and Activities — Control Order) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 277/2021) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “, 12 and 13E(1)(d) and the First Schedule (where applicable) of the Main Control Order” in paragraph (1) and substituting the words “and 12 of, and the First Schedule (where applicable) to, the Main Control Order and regulation 19 of the Workplace Safety and Health (COVID‑19 Safe Workplace) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 992/2021)”;

(b)

by deleting the words “Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019” in paragraph (2)(a) and substituting the words “COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance”;

(c)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (D) of paragraph (2)(a)(ii) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(D)	regulations 10B(1)(k) and 12 of, and the First Schedule (where applicable) to, the Main Control Order and regulation 19 of the Workplace Safety and Health (COVID‑19 Safe Workplace) Regulations 2021;”; and

(d)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (D) of paragraph (2)(b)(ii) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(D)	regulations 10B(1)(k) and 12 of, and the First Schedule (where applicable) to, the Main Control Order and regulation 19 of the Workplace Safety and Health (COVID‑19 Safe Workplace) Regulations 2021.”.

Amendment of regulation 7

3. Regulation 7 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “, unless there are also present, in the sports venue during that crowd management period, other spectators and countable persons who are uncleared juniors and are not below the maximum permissible number of uncleared juniors for the sports venue during that crowd management period” in paragraph (2)(b);
(b)	by deleting paragraph (2A); and
(c)	by deleting the words “Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019” in paragraph (3) and substituting the words “COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance”.

Amendment of regulation 11

4. Regulation 11(2) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the word “major” in sub‑paragraph (b).

Amendment of regulation 14

5. Regulation 14(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019” in sub‑paragraph (c)(i) and substituting the words “COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance”.

Amendment of regulation 19

6. Regulation 19(1) of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “or for any requirement in regulation 7(2)(b) so far as it relates to a participation sporting event,”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “15(1)(c) or (2)” and substituting the words “15(1)(a) or (c) or (2)”.
