(Car Pooling — Exemption)
(No. 3) (Amendment) Order 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Road Traffic (Car Pooling — Exemption) (No. 3) (Amendment) Order 2022 and comes into operation on 22 August 2022.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. In paragraph 2 of the Road Traffic (Car Pooling — Exemption) (No. 3) Order 2021 (G.N. No. S 888/2021) —

(a)

delete the definition of “approved company”;

(b)

in the definition of “approved on‑demand ride booking service”, replace “approved company” with “approved operator”; and

(c)

after the definition of “approved on‑demand ride booking service”, insert —

“ “approved operator” means any of the following entities:

(a)	GrabCar Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201427085E);
(b)	Ryde Technologies Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201425891W);
(c)	an exempt ride-hail service operator with the meaning given by the Point‑to‑Point Passenger Transport Industry (Exempt Ride‑Hail Service Operator) Order 2020 (G.N. No. S 910/2020);”.
