(Amendment of Schedule)
Notification 2012

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act (Amendment of Schedule) Notification 2012 and shall come into operation on 3rd April 2012.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Appendices of the Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act are amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “(Giant salamanders)” in sub-heading B in taxon II relating to “CAUDATA” under the heading “CLASS AMPHIBIA (AMPHIBIANS)” and substituting the words “(Hellbender and giant salamanders)”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item 1 of sub-heading B in taxon II relating to “CAUDATA” under the heading “CLASS AMPHIBIA (AMPHIBIANS)”, the following item:

“

Cryptobranchus alleganiensis

(United States of America)

”.
