(Exemption from Singapore Visa)
(Amendment) Order 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56 of the Immigration Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) (Amendment) Order 2019 and comes into operation on 22 January 2019.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) Order (O 4) is amended by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (1A), the following sub‑paragraph:

“(1B) Section 9B(1) of the Act does not apply to a non‑citizen who arrives in Singapore (by air, sea or land) from a place outside Singapore —

(a)

who —

(i)	holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and
(ii)	is travelling to Singapore for an attendance not exceeding 30 days;

(b)

who —

(i)	is duly accredited to Singapore as a diplomatic or consular representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and
(ii)	holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

(c)

who —

(i)	is accredited to an international organisation in Singapore; and
(ii)	holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan; or

(d)

who —

(i)	is a spouse, or an unmarried child below 21 years of age, of a person referred to in sub‑paragraph (b) or (c);
(ii)	is living in the same household of that person referred to in sub‑paragraph (b) or (c); and
(iii)	holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. Part II of the Schedule to the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) Order is amended by deleting item 7.
