(Exemption from Singapore Visa)
(Amendment) Order 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56 of the Immigration Act 1959, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Order is the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) (Amendment) Order 2023 and, except for paragraphs 2(b) and (c) and 3(a), is deemed to have come into operation on 4 January 2008.
(2)  Paragraph 2(b) is deemed to have come into operation on 17 August 2009.
(3)  Paragraph 2(c) is deemed to have come into operation on 17 April 2011.
(4)  Paragraph 3(a) comes into operation on 21 April 2023.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  In the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) Order (O 4), in paragraph 2 —
(a)after sub-paragraph (f), insert —
(fa)a non-citizen —
(i)who —
(A)holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the foreign territory specified in Part IIA of the Schedule; and
(B)is appointed to work in a diplomatic mission or consular office of the government of that foreign territory, a trade economic mission or an international organisation, in Singapore; or
(ii)who —
(A)is a spouse, or an unmarried child below 21 years of age, of a person mentioned in sub‑paragraph (i);
(B)is living in the same household of the person mentioned in sub‑paragraph (i); and
(C)holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the foreign territory specified in Part IIA of the Schedule;”;
(b)replace sub‑paragraph (fa) with —
(fa)a non-citizen —
(i)who —
(A)holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the foreign territory specified in Part IIA of the Schedule; and
(B)is appointed to work in a diplomatic mission or consular office of the government of that foreign territory, a trade economic mission or an international organisation, in Singapore;
(ii)who —
(A)is a spouse, or an unmarried child below 21 years of age, of a person mentioned in sub‑paragraph (i);
(B)is living in the same household of the person mentioned in sub‑paragraph (i); and
(C)holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the foreign territory specified in Part IIA of the Schedule; or
(iii)who —
(A)holds a valid diplomatic, official or service passport issued by the government of the foreign territory specified in Part IIA of the Schedule; and
(B)is travelling to Singapore for an attendance not exceeding 90 days;”; and
(c)in sub‑paragraph (2), after “For the purposes of”, insert “sub‑paragraph (1)(fa)(i) and”.
Amendment of Schedule
3.  In the Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) Order, in the Schedule —
(a)in the Schedule reference, after “Paragraph 2(1)(e), (f),”, insert “(fa),”;
(b)in Part II, delete item 13; and
(c)after Part II, insert —
Part IIA
1.Ukraine.”.
