(Amendment) Rules 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 104(3) of the Environmental Public Health Act 1987, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Environmental Public Health (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Rules 2024 and come into operation on 15 February 2024.

Amendment of rule 2

2. In the Environmental Public Health (Composition of Offences) Rules (R 1), in rule 2 —

(a)

in paragraph (a)(ii), delete “and” at the end;

(b)

in paragraph (a)(iii), insert “and” at the end;

(c)

in paragraph (a), after sub‑paragraph (iii), insert —

“(iv)

section 31DB(1) or (2), read with section 31DB(4), of the Act;”; and

(d)

in paragraph (i), after “for contravening regulation”, insert “3A(1), (2) or (3),”.
