Road Traffic
(Amendment) Rules 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 140 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Road Traffic (Amendment) Rules 2024 and come into operation on 1 March 2024.
Amendment of rule 1A
2.  In the Road Traffic Rules (R 20), in rule 1A, after the definition of “Demerit Points No Stopping Zone”, insert —
“ “recumbent device” and “three‑wheeled pedal cycle” have the meanings given by rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Bicycles, Three‑wheeled Pedal Cycles, Trishaws and Recumbent Devices — Construction and Use) Rules 2024 (G.N. No. S 157/2024);”.
Amendment of rule 28
3.  In the Road Traffic Rules, in rule 28(3)(c), after “device”, insert “(including a recumbent device and a three‑wheeled pedal cycle)”.
