(Protection of Women and Girls)
(Amendment) Rules 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 180(1) of the Women’s Charter, the Minister for Social and Family Development makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Women’s Charter (Protection of Women and Girls) (Amendment) Rules 2020 and come into operation on 1 July 2020.

Miscellaneous amendment

2. The Women’s Charter (Protection of Women and Girls) Rules (R 2) are amended by deleting the word “Director” wherever it appears in the following provisions and substituting in each case the word “Director‑General”:

Rules 5(2), 15(1), (2), (3) and (4), 16(1) and (2) and the rule heading, 17(1) and (3), 18(4), 19(3) and (4), 20(1) and (2), 21, 22, 24, 28(2), 29, 31, 32, 33(1), 34, 42(1) and (2), 46, 49(2)(e), 51(a) and (d), 52(1), 55, 57(1) and (2), 58 (including the rule heading), 59(1), 60, 61, 63, 64, 65, 66 and 67 (including the rule heading).
