(Prohibition of Sale) (Amendment)
Notification 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(3) of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Minister for National Development makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Endangered Species (Import and Export) (Prohibition of Sale) (Amendment) Notification 2021 and comes into operation on 1 September 2021.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) (Prohibition of Sale) Notification (N 1) is amended by inserting, immediately after the item relating to “PERISSODACTYLA RHINOCEROTIDAE”, the following item:

“PROBOSCIDEA ELEPHANTIDAE
Elephas maximus (Asian elephant)
Loxodonta africana (African elephant)

Tusk or tooth, whether worked, unworked or prepared, and any part, powder or waste of that tusk or tooth.”.
