Merchant Shipping
(Safety Convention)
(Amendment) Regulations 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 100 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 1 March 2022.
Deletion and substitution of Regulation 9 of Chapter V
2.  Regulation 9 of Chapter V of the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Regulations (Rg 11) is deleted and the following Regulation substituted therefor:
“Regulation 9
Hydrographic Services
The Authority must arrange for the collection and compilation of hydrographic data and the publication, dissemination and keeping up to date of all nautical information necessary for safe navigation.”.
