(Public Cleansing) (Amendment)
Regulations 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111(1) of the Environmental Public Health Act 1987, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 1 February 2024.

Amendment of regulation 28

2. In the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) Regulations (Rg 3) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 28, after paragraph (1), insert —

“(1A) The fees specified in the First and Second Schedules are inclusive of goods and services tax under the Goods and Services Tax Act 1993.”.

Amendment of First Schedule

3. In the principal Regulations, in the First Schedule, replace the Schedule reference with —

“Regulations 24(1) and (2) and 28(1A)”.

Amendment of Second Schedule

4. In the principal Regulations, in the Second Schedule —

(a)

replace the Schedule reference with —

“Regulation 28(1) and (1A)”;

(b)

in the following provisions, replace “$32.02” with “$35.34”:
