(Lifelong Income Scheme)
(Amendment) Regulations 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27Q of the Central Provident Fund Act 1953, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Lifelong Income Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 1 March 2022.

Amendment of regulation 5BA

2. Regulation 5BA of the Central Provident Fund (Lifelong Income Scheme) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 393/2009) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “section 15(2)(d), (e), (f) or (g), (7A)(a), (b), (c), (d) or (e) or (8)(a), (b), (c), (d) or (e) of the Act” in paragraph (b)(i) and substituting the words “section 15AA(1), (2)(a) or (b) or (3)(a) or (b) of the Act or a former provision (as the case may be)”; and

(b)

by renumbering the regulation as paragraph (1) of that regulation, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(2) In this regulation, “former provision” means section 15(2)(d), (e), (f) or (g), (7A)(a), (b), (c), (d) or (e) or (8)(a), (b), (c), (d) or (e) of the Act as in force before 1 March 2022.”.
