Immigration (Security Measures for Work Place) (Amendment) Notification 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 57A(5) of the Immigration Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Immigration (Security Measures for Work Place) (Amendment) Notification 2007 and shall be deemed to come into operation on 1st July 2007.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Immigration (Security Measures for Work Place) Notification (N 6) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the definition of “employment pass”; and

(b)

by deleting the definition of “work permit” and substituting the following definition:

“ “work pass” means a work pass issued under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act (Cap. 91A).”.

Amendment of paragraph 3

3. Paragraph 3 of the Immigration (Security Measures for Work Place) Notification is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “valid work permit, entry permit or employment pass” in sub-paragraph (f) and substituting the words “valid entry permit or work pass”;
(b)	by deleting the words “work permit” in sub-paragraphs (g) and (j)(ii) (D) and substituting in each case the words “work pass”; and
(c)	by deleting the words “work permit number, entry permit number or employment pass number” in sub-paragraph (j)(i) (C) and substituting the words “work pass number or entry permit number”.
