(Retirement Sum Scheme)
(Amendment) Regulations 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act 1953, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Retirement Sum Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and come into operation on 1 June 2023.

Amendment of regulations 12 and 13D

2. In the Central Provident Fund (Retirement Sum Scheme) Regulations (Rg 16) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in the following provisions, replace “$250” with “$350”:

Regulation 12(5)

Regulation 13D(2).

Amendment of regulations 12A, 13 and 13C

3. In the principal Regulations, in the following provisions, replace “$297” with “$350”:

Regulation 12A(2)

Regulation 13(1) and (2)

Regulation 13C(4).

Amendment of regulation 14

4. In the principal Regulations, in regulation 14(1), replace sub‑paragraph (k) with —

“(k)

$297

From 1st July 2003 to 31st May 2023.

(l)

$350

From 1st June 2023.”.
